Wine & Design: Kokedama Succulent Ball

Wine & Design: Kokedama Succulent Ball

Aug 23rd 2019

This Wine & Design class took on a Japanese flair with these trending kokedama designs. Never heard of kokedama? You will! This unique style from the Far East is getting noticed by floral design influencers & trendsetters all over social media, including Martha Stewart!

Kokedama means “moss ball” in Japanese. It is a style of bonsai gardening used to display plants by suspending the shape using a decorative chain or string. We like to think of kokedama as “living pots.” Kokedama design is a great way to incorporate your favorite succulents indoors, outdoors, or for a show-stopping element at a party or event. As always team member Debbe V. did a great job leading the class. Our Wine & Designs are BYOB classes so students get to sip their Chardonnays while they design. Such fun! See all of our upcoming classes by clicking on the DIY Flower Classes tab and register right from the listing. More classes are being added all the time so check back often for the latest offerings.
